On a simplified untiming procedure for supervisory control of timed automata when the time increases strictly monotonically

چکیده
Given a timed automaton G accepting the timed language L a finite state machine G 0 can be constructed, known as the region automaton, which accepts the untimed language Untime (L). In this paper we construct an alternative finite state machine which also accepts the language Untime (L), but has fewer states than G 0. This is shown for languages of both finite and infinite traces given that the time values in the time sequence increase strictly monotonically. The supervisory control design for timed automata, when the simplified untiming procedure is used and the time is strictly positive, is studied.

Performance in Supervisory Control Theory
A supervisor is generated with Supervisory Control Theory [3], resulting in a nonblocking and minimally restrictive controller. Time is introduced time using timed automata theory. The fastest sequence of events is found, using graph search algorithms of Dijkstra and A [1]. This is...
متن کاملSupervisory Control of Real-time Discrete Event Systems under Partial Observation
In this paper, we address the issue of synthesizing an optimal supervisor for real-time discrete event systems modeled by timed automata and under partial observation. Our approach is based on a method of transformation of timed automata into particular finite state automata called Set-Exp-Automata. That is, given the timed automata of the plant and the specification, we construct two Set-Exp-A...
متن کاملGenerating Discrete Trace Transition System of a Polyhe-dral Invariant Hybrid Automaton
Supervisory control and fault diagnosis of hybrid systems need to have complete information about the discrete states transitions of the underling system. From this point of view, the hybrid system should be abstracted to a Discrete Trace Transition System (DTTS) and represented by a discrete mode transition graph. In this paper an effective method is proposed for generating discrete mode trans...
متن کاملUsing Interval Petri Nets and Timed Automata for Diagnosis of Discrete Event Systems (DES)
A discrete event system (DES) is a dynamic system that evolves in accordance with the abrupt occurrence, at possibly unknown irregular intervals, of physical events. Because of the special nature of these systems, different tools are currently used for their analysis, design and modeling. The main focus of this paper is the presentation of a new modeling approach of Discrete Event Systems. The ...
متن کاملSupervisory Control of Real-time Discrete Event Systems Modeled by Timed Automata with Invariants
The objective is to synthesize a supervisor that forces a given plant to conform to a given formal specification. Timed Automata (TA) with invariants is the model used to describe the plant and the specification, and the synthesis approach consists of using a transformation of TA into particular finite state automata called Set-Exp-Automata.
